Suicide Kid

These come from an old Cyber Fights match featuring Suicide Kid (Mikey Henderson) against Ben Quest. I'm not sure what these guys are up to today, but it doesn't look like they've done much wrestling in the ten years since this match. This fight was a total mismatch, like Man vs. Boy. Quest was no match against SK's hulking musclebound body. I mean, in the second photo you can see how SK's meaty arms are almost as big as Quest's thighs. I have to admit I enjoyed watching this match, not because I liked seeing Quest get his ass kicked, but because I liked seeing the Kid dominate. And, well, maybe I have a little bully in me too, I don't know. But I also have to give props to Quest. He really let his body take a lot of punishment in this match, and he sold it pretty well.

The Gut Buster

I hope the folks at BGE don't mind me sharing this picture with you, but there's just a whole lot of awesome about it. This comes from a recent match between young muscle stud Austin Cooper and experienced pro Dick Rick that you guys should check out. I haven't seen the match itself, but the pictures speak for themselves. Given his experience and size advantage (he's 50 pounds of muscle bigger), it looks like Dick Rick has no trouble demolishing his smaller foe. First of all, this is a great shot of a gut buster. It's a fun move to do. Like a bodyslam, you lift your opponent up after you get a good hold of his crotch, and you bring him down hard for what's sure to be a good hurting. Cooper looks like a little kid in Rick's arms here, like he's being taken for a kiddie airplane ride. His muscled body is useless. The look of anguish and despair on his face is priceless. Being dominated in a wrestling match will do that to you. This isn't something you go brag to your buddies about afterwards. You hope they never even learn about it. I suspect this match will generate a lot of talk among those BGE fans who like to see young muscle boys get crushed. I have to admit that my loyalties lie with the muscle boys (maybe my views will change when I get older). Right now the only thing that would make this action shot better would be if Cooper were the one doing the gut buster. But there's a lot to admire about the strength and power of Rick, too. And some day, hopefully soon, Cooper will get to dish out some bodyslamming and gutbusting punishment of his own.

Amateur Slam

OK, enough of these European guys. It's time to cross the Atlantic and come back home. Here's a great bodyslam pic from an amateur wrestling match that I found on the net. I've never been able to do this to a guy in real competition, but it's great to see something like this because it shows that it's possible. Sometimes when I see a good wrestling action shot, I like to think about what transpired to get to this moment. Judging from the guy who's about to get slammed, this looks like high school wrestling. I suspect this is the kid's first real match. The coach at school asked him to join the team because they needed to fill a weight class. The kid's a jock, probably plays football, so he thinks he can just walk out onto the mat and make a statement. But he meets reality when he faces a guy who's been wrestling for years. The kid gets dominated by the wrestling stud, who parades him around in humiliating fashion before ending the match with a pin. In high school a few times I wrestled against jocks from other sports who thought they could just walk out onto a mat and compete (you'd be surprised at how many soccer players think they can suddenly wrestle). It was fun to toy with them a little bit, let them know who the real athlete was, before flipping them onto their back for the inevitable pin.

More Tristan Archer

I don't know why I've been looking at European wrestling so much lately. Maybe because it's kind of hard to ignore guys like wrestling studs Tristan Archer and Mexx. Here's one more bodyslam tribute to Tristan Archer as he shows how to deliver a musclebound, North American-style beatdown on France. I wonder what it would take to get Archer and Mexx into the ring for a wrestling match. I think I'd fly over to Europe just to see that. My guess is that the bigger Mexx would win, but it's a tough call. Any thoughts?

More Muscle Mexx

Here are some more photos of Austrian muscle wrestler Mexx in action. You got to respect a guy who loves to bodyslam his opponents into submission. When you are a muscle guy like Mexx, it's nothing more than just a fun day at work. I would like to see what kind of damage this guy would cause if Austria ever turned him loose on France.

Careful Who You Cross

This is a great picture. I don't know what happened in the moments before. Maybe some words were exchanged. A challenge was made. Perhaps they bumped chests. Then the next thing this dude knows is he's eight feet off the ground being gorilla pressed by Austrian muscle wrestler Mexx. Mexx looks mildly annoyed in this photo. I'd hate to see what he would do to this guy if he were really pissed off. Well, actually, that's not true. I would like to see that. Anyway, this dude is learning a valuable lesson. You don't fuck with a wrestler.

Germanic Warriors

In my last post I suggested that the French had to import muscle jocks to satisfy their wrestling needs. But finding wrestlers does not appear to be a problem for countries like Germany and Austria. Unfortunately the picture quality above isn't great, but these shots come from a "clash of the nations" event featuring matches between German and Austrian wrestlers. One match has Axel Dieter representing Germany, and for Austria is muscle wrestler Mexx. Although Dieter gets in some good moves along the way, the Austrian dominates the German as Mexx pulls off several power moves. Mexx clearly enjoys his dominance in the process. I like that cockiness. But I can also appreciate Dieter for having the guts to even face a wrestler like Mexx.

Tristan Archer

Tristan Archer is a muscle stud from Calgary who wrestles for promotions in France. Here he is delivering a good looking bodyslam on his opponent Tony Cecaldi, who Archer goes on to defeat. I like to think that Archer is over in France because the French have to import corn fed muscle jocks from North America to appear in their wrestling competitions (maybe I should audition). Anyway, Archer looks pretty good in a wrestling ring. I especially like the second photo, which clearly shows Archer squeezing Cecaldi's ass, just like all good wrestlers do during a bodyslam.

Dave Calbrese v. Rocco

In my last post, I said how much I liked it when smaller guys dominate bigger muscle guys. But I have to admit that I like it when muscle guys dominate smaller guys. I guess I like most anything when it involves bodyslams and muscle guys. Anyway, in another match at NRW, Dave Calbrese faced a smaller opponent named Rocco Scarletti and, of course, Calbrese dishes out a good bodyslam in a match where he dominates his skinnier opponent. I love the look of anguish on Rocco's face as Calbrese scoops him up and prepares him for the slam. He's humiliated at being manhandled like that. I've seen that look before. I like that look.

Dave Calbrese v. The Ox

No Rules Wrestling
is one of those Internet wrestling productions featuring young guys fighting it out in a ring. Their matches seem to feature a lot of punching, fist fights, and even sleeper submissions. But there's not a lot of pro-style lifts, throws, and slams except for the pretty easy fireman's carry. Yet one wrestler who has caught my eye is Dave Calbrese (featured before in this blog) because he likes to bodyslam his opponents. I came across a match of his against The Ox, who is a 220 pound muscle dude, significantly bigger than Calbrese, and I figured Calbrese had met his match. But Calbrese surprised me by scooping up his huge opponent with a beautiful crotchlift and delivering a monster bodyslam. It's fun seeing a smaller wrestler dominate his larger opponent. I would love to wrestle Calbrese because we are about the same size. I'd probably get bodyslammed a few times, but that would still be fun.

Red White and Blue

I've had a red, white, and blue USA wrestling singlet since before high school. And most of the serious wrestlers I knew did, too. There's nothing like proudly putting your colors on and walking onto the mat or into the ring, ready to dish out some punishment for the glory of your country. Here's a red, white, and blue bodyslam tribute in honor of July 4th. Have a great Independence Day everyone.

OTK Backbreaker

These action pics from matches at BGEast show the otk backbreaker, which is a fun move to use when you're wrestling another guy. After you crotchlift him and walk him around a little bit to show you're the alpha male, bring the dude's back down onto your knee a couple of times for some extra punishment. It just makes the final bodyslam even more devastating.

Pump Handle Slam

A fun way to get a guy is with a pumphandle slam. It's a great prostyle lift for those wrestlers who like the ball and chain technique. In action here is Cody Nelson who's been featured before in the blog, wrestling against his younger brother Troy in a match at Thunders Arena. What a gene pool these two wrestling studs come from.

Ghenadie Tulbea

These photos show Ghenadie Tulbea slamming his opponent during the European wrestling championships. It would have been cool if he had been able to hoist him high off the mat before slamming him, but it's an impressive move nonetheless in real wrestling. I find it funny to see a wrestler from Monaco, which is more a haven for the rich and less a hotbed of wrestling activity. But Tulbea is really from Moldova. How he wound up in Monaco I don't know, but he's doing something right with his wrestling if he can earn enough to live in Monaco.
