All American Heel
It was almost three years ago when Eagle made his debut at Thunders Arena as an innocent looking, cornfed Indiana farmboy looking to make it big in the world of underground wrestling. Since then, Eagle has become one of the more prolific wrestlers at TA, appearing in almost fifty matches to date. And he's no longer just a naive countryboy trying to make his way on the mean streets of Thunders Arena. Today, our Eagle is all grown up, and he makes a powerful heel with his All American, clean cut good looks and his amazing muscular physique. He's got the face, the abs, the bulging biceps, powerful pecs, stunning traps, and thick thighs. For me, this is the perfect kind of heel. This is exactly the kind of guy I want to see dominate in a wrestling match. I just love to see the weaker wrestler suffer at the hands of the All American musclestud.
In one of his recent matches at TA, Eagle engages in some poolside wrestling with Bolt. With Eagle being 200 pounds of solid muscle, this is the perfect opportunity to show his heel side against the 150 pound Bolt. And Eagle takes full advantage by punishing little Bolt with several power moves, like bearhugs, torture racks, and the studliest of all wrestling moves, the gorilla press. Now, one minor thing that irked me about this video is that Eagle seems annoyed at times that he has to deal with Bolt, as if he just wants to be left alone. But if I were a twenty-something musclestud with the physique and power of Eagle, I would not hesitate to savor ever second I could get my hands on Bolt (or any other guy) and assert my alpha-male dominance. Luckily, when the two wrestlers do lock up in this match, that's what we get. Once Eagle gets his hands on his smaller opponent, he pretty much bends and manipulates Bolt's body to his own will.
So, what do you do after you emasculate another dude with a gorilla press? You flex those biceps in triumph like the fucking certified muscleboy that you are!

Shoulder Day
Today was shoulder day at the gym, so I got to work with my new instructional weight lifting video from Thunders Arena. Now I'm sore as fuck but can't complain about the results I'm seeing. I'm getting swoll, dudes.

In Memoriam
The little dude in a big vs little wrestling match has to rely on his speed and agility if he's going to have any chance of surviving the contest. That's why you often see these guys turn their bodies into human missiles by climbing the ring ropes and launching themselves at their beefcake opponents. That's what we see in a match from Thunders Arena featuring little dude Bolt wrestling muscle beast Brian Cage. But this strategy doesn't always work out well when the big guy catches the little dude in flight. It just gives a muscle stud like the 255 pound Brian Cage the opportunity to show off his power and press the 150 pound Bolt overhead.
This match has been out for a few months, so why am I waiting til now to feature it? Well, it's Memorial Day weekend, the time to honor warriors who have fallen in battle. Wrestlers are warriors, after all, and in giving up over 100 pounds in this match, there's only one logical outcome for Bolt. R.I.P. little dude.
Just kidding! Take heart, Bolt fans. The little guy is alive and well. And if you get a chance to watch this match, you might find yourself surprised at how big this little dude appears.

Random Racks
Sometimes I think about changing the title of my blog to "Bodyslam and Torture Rack Fan", but since the current name has such strong brand recognition, it's probably best not to mess with it. Still, that doesn't mean I can't post awesome pictures of torture racks (since it's my blog, I guess I can post whatever I want). I like shoulder racks for many of the same reasons I like bodyslams. It's a great lift and carry move that gives the alpha wrestler the opportunity to show who is in charge. And it's easier to pick up and carry around your victim in a rack than it is for a bodyslam. But from a jobber's perspective it can be different. A bodyslam can be kind of fun at first because you get picked up and carried around before the pain of the slam, but with a torture rack, the punishment comes immediately with being carried around. And if you want to be a super alpha wrestler, you can make the jobber suffer for as long as you want with a rack. Several of the pics above come from Thunders Arena because the wrestlers there do a great job with torture racks. But the move has universal appeal among all wrestlers, so you can see it pretty much anywhere. It's just an awesome move.

Marco
For the last year Thunders Arena has really been giving one of it's new wrestlers a hard workout. Marco is a wrestler from Pennsylvania who made his way down to Florida to join the roster at TA. He's 5' 8" and 180 pounds, and from the video clips and pictures I've seen, he knows how to handle himself on a wrestling mat. Marco is looking pretty studly in that third picture as he presses Bolt overhead. Be sure to check out all his matches at the Thunders Arena's website.

Bolt
I spent my last post gushing all over Dozer, but I failed to point out the little guy he's pressing overhead in the last picture. If you've been to the Thunders Arena website lately, you will recognize him as Bolt, a new wrestler who's 5' 7" and 150 pounds. I guess until he can make a name for himself, Bolt will have to be the chew toy for some of the more experienced wrestlers at TA. It looks like Dozer, Archer, and Marco already are making the most out of their new found play thing.

Dozer
A large chunk of talent at Thunders Arena comes in the form of bodybuilders, and lately one in particular has made several appearances. You probably know the dude I'm talking about. It's Dozer, the 5'10" 230 pound muscle stud on display above. Outside wrestling, he's an accomplished competitive bodybuilder (like I need to point that out). But Dozer is one of those guys who likes to do more than just flex his big muscles. He likes to show them off by dominating other dudes in wrestling. Although he wrestled in a ring a while ago for No Rules Wrestling as The Ox (see third pic above), at TA Dozer's action mainly has been on the mats with just a few lift and carry type moves thrown in to show off his power. But not long ago the Arena announced it had a wrestling ring, and I think Dozer can make himself a nice home in that type of setting. Let's hope TA turns Dozer loose in the ring so he can wreak pro-style wrestling havoc on many hapless opponents.
