Indy Wrestling

This is a tribute to indy promotion wrestlers. You know these guys really gotta love what they do. They don't get paid much, they put their bodies at risk, and all for the glory of appearing at the local Knight of Columbus Hall or some similar venue in front of a crowd of maybe 100 fans tops. God bless 'em.

Muscle on Muscle

One great thing about wrestling is the muscle on muscle action. And not just from the fan point of view, but also for the wrestlers. Muscle jocks can be sort of arrogant and cocky, so it's a humbling experience when you get beaten by another dude on the wrestling mat. But when you beat another muscle dude, especially if you take him apart and put him on his back, it's an awesome feeling. Although there's a lot of muscle in amateur wrestling, it's hard to beat what you see in pro wrestling. This picture is amazing. The guy in the black trunks is ripped and could probably dominate 99.999 percent of all the guys out there. But here he finds himself in a humiliating situation, nothing more than a bitch for another guy who's got him by the family jewels and pressed overhead. The ripped stud in blue, though, is loving it, and why shouldn't he? Full of muscles and in complete control, he's the alpha male, the king of the world. After the match he'll be even more arrogant and cocky, and deservedly so.

Anyone know who these guys are?

(NOTE: Been told the guy in blue is Anthony Bravado, who has been on this blog before for showing off his muscles.)

Shaun Davis

This guy is a nice find. He's Shaun Davis, a wrestler in the UK. He stands in at an impressive 6' 5", and obviously there's a lot of power in that tall frame of his. There's a certain beauty when tall guys lift and slam other wrestlers, especially with overhead presses. It looks like Davis has his victims almost eight feet in the air. That's a long way down for these dudes before their backs hit the mat. That extra distance just makes Davis' domination of them look just that much more impressive.

Positive Attitude

Someone just told me that my comments recently have been kind of "snarky." And I don't think he meant that in a good way. So, if that's the case, I apologize. There's really so much about a bodyslam that is great, so I should focus on the positive. And there's not much better about a bodyslam than seeing a stud like British Columbia wrestler Scotty Mac scoop up another dude and slam his ass hard down onto the mat. Scotty Mac has been wrestling for almost eleven years, so I guess that must make him close to 30 years old, if not older. He looks pretty amazing for someone who has been around the wrestling ring that long. He's one of my inspirations to keep working out. Keep up the good work, Scotty! I hope to see many more years of you bodyslamming the shit out of hapless wrestlers.

Manhandled

Here's another bodyslam that fits in with the fear theme I touched on last month. This kid probably thought it would be cool to be a professional wrestler, at least until he stepped into the ring to be manhandled by a stronger and more experienced opponent. Nothing will put you in your place better than being scooped up high and bodyslammed by a shirtless dude in front of a crowd of onlookers. By the way, has this guy plucked his eyebrows? He deserves multiple bodyslams for that.
