Green Ant

The Colony is a group of wrestlers who appear at Chikara pro wrestling.  Their ant theme is a pretty good one for the wrestling ring since ants in nature are aggressive and incredibly strong, able to carry fifty times their own weight.  The biggest and strongest ant in The Colony is Green Ant.  It's not likely he will ever have to lift someone fifty times his own weight, but he does love to lift dudes high and bodyslam them.  No wonder I like him so much.

Big Sexy

Most of you probably are familiar with Big Sexy, a wrestler at Thunders Arena.  He's probably one of the top two or three most popular wrestlers there.  I know Joe at Ringside is a big fan, and he posts about Big Sexy frequently.  The thing is, Big Sexy doesn't do much for me.  It's not that I actively dislike him.  I guess I'm just kind of ambivalent about him.  He's not a wrestler I pay that much attention to.  But today Big Sexy caught my attention with the preview of his new match against Aiden at Thunder's Arena.  Earlier this month in a post about Rob Terry, I said that there was a certain classic beauty about the bodyslam, and we see that above with Big Sexy bodyslamming Aiden.  There's so much I like about a good bodyslam.  It's the crotch hold.  It's the lift and carry.  One dude dominate over another.  It's the muscled bodies of the wrestlers in action, and not just the alpha stud, but also the dude who's being slammed.  All that is good about a bodyslam is on display here.  So, ok, I may not be among his biggest fans, but I have to say, well done Big Sexy.  And by the way, he does a pretty good rack, too.

Brian Cage

I'm jealous of Bruno and his Beefcakes of Wrestling blog because he has over 360 followers, so I'm going to steal a page from his book and feature a wrestler strictly based upon his beefcake qualities.  Most of you guys probably are already familiar with Brian Cage.  He's six feet tall, weighs 230 pounds, and wrestles at various indy promotions.  He's also a bodybuilder, like any good beefcake wrestler should be.  Take that, Bruno!

Breaking News

I want to interrupt my current story line of Marcus Anthony and Rob Terry to bring you up to date on Thunders Arena.  There's a new match featuring muscle boy Python wrestling a guy called Red.  TA's description of the match doesn't hide the fact that Python gets pummelled in the end, but if you check out the video preview, you get treated to Python gorilla pressing his opponent.  Python's arms are good for arm wrestling, bear hugs, and that skull crushing headlock of his, but they are also great for lifting other dudes.  You really get a good appreciation here for Python's biceps and triceps as he presses Red overhead.  They are amazing.  We've seen Python gorilla press another dude before, and I hope TA gives us more in the future.  In fact, I wish TA would let Python be more of a heel, maybe turn him loose on a smaller guy where he can put his muscles to use with bodyslams, backbreakers, racks, and all those good power moves that muscle boy wrestlers love to use.  Are you reading this Thunder's Arena?!

Up and Over

Earlier in the week I suggested that the authorities who run pro wrestling won't let Rob Terry gorilla press his opponents because the move would just be too devastating on the other guy.  Of course that's not true because we've seen the occasional gorilla press by Rob Terry.  Here he's at it again with the sexually ambiguous Paredyce at Ohio Valley Wrestling.

The Partner

In my last post I highlighted the tag team appearance of Marcus Anthony and Rob Terry at Ohio Valley Wrestling.  Marcus got in a nice gorilla press slam during the match, but as we can see here, Rob Terry did his part, too.  That's Eddie Diamond enduring more punishment at the hands of Rob Terry after suffering through the press slam.  I like to call the gorilla press the king of pro wrestling moves, but the scoop slam is my favorite.  There's just a certain classic beauty to it, which that third photo above really shows.  And I love that a dude as big as Rob Terry predominately scoopslams his opponents even though he could easily press them overhead.  It makes me wonder if due to his size the pro wrestling authorities don't want Rob Terry to press slam other dudes.  Even highly trained professional would have a hard time surviving something that devastating.

Dream Team 3.0

Sorry dudes!  I don't know why I haven't posted anything recently.  I guess the start of football season has been a distraction.  Anyway, a while back I let it be known how excited I was to see Marcus Anthony back at Ohio Valley Wrestling.  With his reappearance at OVW, one thing I was hoping for was to see him face off against Rob Terry.  Such a match would be the ultimate Clash of Titans.  Well, it doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon.  As you can see above, Marcus Anthony and Rob Terry are now pairing up for tag team action at OVW.  Not that I mind, of course.  A while back I was happy to announce the "Dream Team" of Marcus Anthony and Jessie Godderz.  That didn't last because Marcus Anthony left for Florida Championship Wrestling, but in it's place appeared an improved Dream Team of Jessie Godderz and Rob Terry.  That also didn't last, and the partnership between Jessie and Rob seems to have soured in recent months.  I have to say that I like this newest version of the Dream Team the best.  With all the muscle that Marcus Anthony and Rob Terry possess, they are going to leave a trail of broken bones, collapsed organs, and internal bleeding in their wake.  It's great to be kings of muscle.
