Immortal Zeus

It's been nine years since I first featured Korean-Japanese wrestler Zeus (real name Kenshou Obayashi) in my blog.  Good news for us, the dude is still going strong.  And I mean literally.  The dude is fucking strong!  Assuming my internet sources are correct, Zeus is now 38 years old.  At 5'11" and 240 pounds, he still looks amazing.  Zeus has a background in bodybuilding, and he obviously continues with his training.  Currently appearing for All Japan Pro Wrestling, it looks like Zeus is a big fan favorite.  My guess is this is because Japanese wrestling fans love to see hard body muscle studs show off their strength by tossing opponents around at will (of course, what wrestling fan regardless of nationality doesn't enjoy that?).  Anyway, my favorite two photos in this series are the first two above, showing the musclebound Asian beast dominating two pale white jobber boys.  I can't really explain why I enjoy seeing Zeus totally manhandle those young white boys, but trust me, I do!

The gorilla press obviously is one of Zeus' signature moves, which is a huge reason why I am such a fan.  What I like about his gorilla presses is how well it lets Zeus show off his physique.  Even at 38 years of age, he looks stunning.  And of course, with a physique like that, Zeus gets to flex those muscles over his humiliated opponent in the end.  But when Zeus flexes, he's no mere muscleboy.  He's a true muscle god!

Wrestling . . . the sport of gods!

Dante the Heel

It's no secret Dante is high up on my list of favorite wrestlers at Muscleboy Wrestling.  I've featured him several times in my blog already, so I'm surprised I haven't yet done a full post about his match against Ethan Slade from a couple years ago.  If I have a complaint about Dante's matches, it's that MBW usually features him as a jobber.  I want to see Dante be a heel, and that's why this match is so awesome.  Dante steps onto the mat at 180 pounds, while Ethan Slade is a mere 145.  This size difference allows Dante to display his heel side and destroy Ethan with a several bigboy wrestling moves.  This is the Dante I love best.

Message to Muscleboy Wrestling:
I wanna see Dante bodyslam the fuck out of more jobbers!

Is Wrestling My Porn?

Someone once joked that if you run out of gay porn, just watch wrestling because it's basically the same thing.  I responded with a polite chuckle, but after thinking about it, I began to wonder if wrestling is my porn.  Porn itself just isn't my thing, gay or straight.  It's rare that I ever watch it.  But wrestling, on the other hand, is a different matter.  There are some days where I waste hours on the computer searching for and watching wrestling videos and downloading pictures.  I love wrestling for the sport, and I also love it for the masculinity of it.  So yeah, I have to admit that sometimes it does get me "going" a bit, if you know what I mean.

But does wrestling rise to the level of porn?  If so, I guess that's why some gay porn stars also do wrestling videos.  I'm aware that a few guys I blog about (probably a lot more) are also active in the adult film industry.  I'm not that clued in to the industry to know its stars, but at least I'm clued in enough to know that Topher Dimaggio is one of the better known names out there.  So, it's really no surprise he does wrestling videos, too, including a recent match at Wrestler4Hire that I feature here.

Topher finds himself in the ring wrestling big boy Joey Nux.  And seriously, Joey is a very big boy.  And absolutely shredded, too.  The dude just exudes strength and power.  Topher really doesn't stand a chance.  I liked watching this match very much.  I enjoyed the muscles, the sweat, the athleticism.  These are the very things that draw me to wrestling.  Plus it's no secret that I love lift and carry power moves in wrestling, and Joey absolutely delivers as he bodyslams, racks, backbreaks, and piledrives Topher throughout this match.  And Topher does his job well, too, enduring the punishment and suffering like a jobber boy is supposed to suffer at the hands of a muscular heel.  I still don't have any real interest seeing Topher performing in adult films, but I defintely want to see a lot more of him in the wrestling ring.

Hmm, watching Joey piledrive Topher over and over . . .
Maybe wrestling really is my porn!

Loki

Loki was the star of my last post (apologies to Scrappy).  At 5'11" and 215 pounds with bulging muscles, Loki represents the typical bodybuilder/athlete on Thunders Arena's roster.  Here are some more pictures of the big guy in action.  Most of you probably recognize Loki as professional bodybuilder and fitness model Jake Burton.  As the first picture above shows, the dude has got big biceps and really knows how to flex them.  Damn, I'm (almost) speechless!  Lucky for us, he also knows that biceps are for more than flexing, so we appreciate Loki for putting his muscles to good use by wrestling at Thunders Arena.

Wrestling In the Time of Corona Virus

Wow, it's been a week since my last post.  A couple of weeks ago I figured with all this social distancing, stay at home orders, and tele-working, I could devote more time to my blog.  Well, I guess that hasn't happened.  These are crazy times, and life has been challenging.  But I should not complain too much, because it looks like the guys at Thunders Arena are having a tougher time of it than I am.  I mean sure, I miss going to the gym, but when you're a bodybuilder wrestler whose livelihood depends on hitting the weights, life during the time of corona virus really is difficult.

During the "before" times, life looks like it's all fun and games for guys like Loki and Scrappy at TA, with their ripped physiques and all.  But now, when you spend all day in a Las Vegas penthouse, just hanging around in your posers with no access to the gym, things can become pretty challenging.  So much muscle . . . so much testosterone . . . no weight room.  What's a muscelhead to do?  A recent video from Thunders Arena gives us a little glimpse into the lives of its bodybuilder wrestlers, and while things aren't ideal, luckily it doesn't look so grim just yet.  When you got no gym to go to, then you can use each other for weights.  That's what Loki and Scrappy resort to doing when they can no longer stand just sitting around and looking at each other anymore.  To be honest, though, since Loki has a fifty pound weight advantage, it looks like he gets in most of the lifting, but Scrappy can probably tell you that getting beat up is a pretty good workout itself, too.

Let's hope these guys (and the rest of us) get back to a real gym soon.

I don't think Loki and Scrappy quite understand what "social distancing" means.
