He's Back!

It's been a while since I have featured Marcus Anthony in a post.  Over a year ago I noted his departure from Ohio Valley Wrestling to Florida Championship Wrestling.  At the time I admitted that Marcus was one of my favorite wrestlers to feature in the blog.  With the passage of time, I have to say that is still true.  I'm not sure what happened when he went to FCW, but I'm excited to see that he's back wrestling at OVW.  Unfortunately he's lost the faux hawk, but other than that he looks as big and bad as ever.  Some of you may recall earlier postings of mine where I've stated that my preference is to be a heel when wrestling, but in some cases I'm willing to be a jobber.  Marcus Anthony is a guy I would easily job for.  The lean, muscled body of an amateur wrestler going up against the impressive stature that is the pro wrestler with a bodybuilder's physique . . . Marcus Anthony has muscles, and he knows how to use them.  And that's to physically dominate other dudes.  Imagine what it's like to have him take control of your body, to be hoisted up high in the air and paraded around, the feel of his muscled arm through your crotch as he prepares to slam you down to the mat . . . Welcome back to OVW, Marcus!  Let's hope we see a lot more of your bodyslamming action.

The Douche Bag

Let's all meet Brian "Wall Street" Walters from No Rules Wrestling.  All I know about him is that he's appeared in two wrestling matches at NRW against Dave Calbrese.  I've taken an instant dislike to this guy.  He's a douche bag.  You know the type.  And for those of you who don't know, I've come across several good definitions of a "douche bag", such as "a person that is a total moron and doesn't think before he speaks or acts", or "one with an intolerable personality", and possibly the best definition yet - "Individual, or individuals who piss you off on good days, and piss you off even more on bad days."  Why do I think Brian "Wall Street" Walters is a douche bag?  Well, for starters, it's that arrogant, smug, elitist sneer of his in that first photo.  Also, the "Wall Street" nickname gives it away.  Having finished an MBA program, the nickname calls to mind several guys I've come across the past couple of years who easily qualify as douche bags.  And don't get me started on lawyers or guys in law school.  A good college buddy of mine turned into a total douche bag once he entered law school.  My father is a lawyer, and I have no problem calling him a douche bag given the problems he's created all throughout my life, but I shouldn't be going into my father issues now, especially so soon after Father's Day.  Back to Brian Walters.  He's a douche bag.  And I loved these video clips of Dave Calbrese beating the crap out of him with an OTK backbreaker in one match and a powerslam in another.  I wish I could get some of those other douche bags back to my place for a wrestling match so I can dish out similar forms of punishment and wipe those arrogant sneers of their faces.  Why does Dave Calbrese get to have all the fun?

Meet Sergey

This is Sergey.  He's another muscle guy you can check out at this Youtube channel featuring Russian and Ukrainian dudes flexing and wrestling.  Sergey and his muscle buddies primarily like to direct their aggressions towards two skinny guys named Oleg and Gaga.  This is a contrast from productions like BG East which seem to cater to those who want to see the young muscle studs get beaten.  That's never really appealed to me.  Here it's the bullies who win.  While I don't condone bullying, I do like seeing the muscle guy dominate.  It's more realistic.  As an aside, the background settings of these Youtube videos are great.  If you want to survive in a crumbling, post-Soviet industrial society, then your chances are better if you're a muscle stud like Sergey and Vlad

Meet Vlad

Meet Vlad.  I found him on a Youtube channel featuring muscle guys from Russia (or maybe the Ukraine) who like to flex and wrestle.  Much of the wrestling consists of lifts and carries, which is probably why I found it so entertaining.  As best as I can tell from the clips, there's very little story line or plot development in the videos, but I doubt that's why guys watch them.  Generally early on the muscle guy says "You are pissing me off", which seems to be the cue to strip down to posers.  Then during the wrestling, the muscle guy says things like "I crush you" and "I have big muscles", all in heavily accented English.  Vlad here caught my attention because he's always got a big grin on his face.  He enjoys being a muscle stud who can lift and carry other dudes around.  You can't blame him for smiling.

Jessie's Waterloo

Seeing Jessie Godderz in my last couple of posts makes me think of Ohio Valley Wrestling, and then OVW makes my thoughts turn to Rob Terry (not that it takes much to bring Rob Terry to mind).  Over a year ago I was revelling in the magnificience that was the tag team partnership of Rob Terry and Jessie Godderz.  Times have changed.  The two no longer are partners, and they often face each other in the ring.  If you haven't seen them yet, check out the photos posted by Bruno on his Beefcakes blog from a recent match between these two muscle goliaths (match photos by wrestling photographer extraordinaire Jim from Chicago).  The first photo above comes from that match.  Earlier this year I also featured some pictures from another match between the two, and the last three above come from yet a different match at Impact Wrestling, where Rob Terry treated his fans (and Jessie Godderz) to a gorilla press.  A common theme through these three matches is Rob Terry slamming the shit out of his former tag team partner.  Rob Terry pounding on Jessie Godderz.  I don't think I will ever get tired of seeing that.

The Best of Jessie

In response to the popularity of my last post, here are some more photos of Jessie Godderz in action, doing what he does best -- the gorilla press.  I should feature Godderz more often.  He makes it easy.  His photos do most of the talking for me.

For the Fans

I've been getting a lot of email from fans lately asking for more posts on Jessie Godderz.  Ha ha!  Just kidding.  I don't get any emails from fans (except the occasional one, which I do appreciate).  But I'm confident the silent majority out there wants to see more of Jessie Godderz, so here he is performing in a recent match at Ohio Valley Wrestling.  His little opponent for this contest is a British dude known as Rockstar Spud.  Little Spud comes in at a mere 140, which means he's giving up 80 pounds to Jessie.  I bet he really felt the full effect of that weight disadvantage when Godderz powerslammed him.

Cliff Conlin

Another wrestler at BG Enterprise is Cliff Conlin, and here are some good pics of him in action.  I really love his technique of holding the inverted body of his opponent after he crotchlifts him but before the actual bodyslam.  That's not a good position to find yourself in during a wrestling match.  If anyone has infomation about Cliff Conlin's wrestling career and what he's up to these days, please share.

More BG Enterprise

Here are some more good pictures from BG Enterprise wrestling matches.  The second photo and last photo show Vic Silver and Mike Pope delivering some nice bodyslams.  Both wrestlers have been featured in my blog before.  But I think my favorite in this series of photos is the backbreaker in the sixth pic.
