Alex and Matt
I began the year with a tribute to Alex Waters in naming him Wrestler of the Year, so what better way to bring 2015 to a close than with another tribute to this wrestling stud? About a year ago the cocky frat boy faced off in the ring against Matt Engel, the young aspiring bodybuilder. Well, I don't know how well Matt's bodybuilding career is going, but hopefully it's better than his wrestling career. This was his last match at Rock Hard Wrestling. The young dude does have some good muscle on him, but from the first pic, I'd say that Alex boasts the more mature, masculine physique. And the rest of these photos suggest that Alex is the more masculine and mature wrestler in the ring.
Alex Waters was a great pick for the Wrestler of the Year award, but time marches on and a new Wrestler of the Year will soon be named. Who it will be is anyone's guess at the moment, but all ballots have been submitted and the accounting firm of Ernst & Young is tabulating the vote. In just a few days we will have our answer, but until then, let's end 2015 like we began it with a spectacular muscleboy flex by Alex Waters.
Happy New Years and see you in 2016!

Backbreaker Monday
It's Monday. The first day of the work week. Seems like a good day to have a tribute to the backbreaker because a job can be backbreaking work, amiright fellas? Too bad we all can't be pro wrestlers. I know these dudes put in a lot of hard work, but in the ring they make it look like too much fun for it to be just a job. Have a good week, guys, and keep up the good work!

Dash Decker
Dash Decker is a relatively new face that Rock Hard Wrestling introduced recently. At 6' and 200 pounds, he's got a good physical presence in the ring. According to his bio, he's a successful bodybuilder with prior amateur wrestling experience. Like I've said before, bodybuilding and wrestling make a great combination. Dash's opponent in one of his early matches is Matt Engel, who also claims to be a bodybuilder. And while Matt is pretty impressive in his own right, at 5' 9" and 155 pounds, it looks like he's got a way to go before he can catch up with Dash. I'd say that Dash wins the flex off between the two before the wrestling begins. And once the wrestling starts, Dash handles himself pretty well, using his superior strength and size to his definite advantage. For more on Dash's match against Matt, check out Joe's blog at Ringside.
As good as Dash looks in the ring, he's still lacking in experience. This was evident during the match when Dash tried to powerslam Matt on the rebound after whipping him against the ropes. I like the looks on their faces in the pic below. They both know the move didn't go quite as planned. I'm not sure what's worse, being powerslammed or being fingered like that. I don't know if Dash and Matt were friends before they filmed their match, but it looks like they got to know each other pretty well during it.
