Brad Barnes
While sorting through my fan email this week, I came across one message asking me to name a favorite wrestler who has not yet been featured in my blog. Ha ha, just kidding! I never get any fan emails. But if someone ever did ask me this question, Brad Barnes would be a good answer. Sure, he's made appearances here and there in my blog, but I've never actually done a post to celebrate the wrestler. I like Brad Barnes, and there's a lot about him to celebrate. He's got good masculine features and a muscular physique, especially when he's in bodybuilder mode. You expect a wrestler at 5' 9" and 200 pounds to be a powerful dude, and in the ring Brad can deliver power. There are plenty of places to see him in action because Brad has made the rounds to several different wrestling websites, including BG East, Thunders Arena, Muscle Domination Wrestling, and recently he's been wrestling with Cameron Mathews' group at Wrestler 4 Hire. It looks like Brad serves as a jobber more often than not, but in some matches he shows a heel side. And even when he's a jobber, Brad still gets in several good alpha wrestling moves. Brad's got muscles, and he knows how to use them. I guess that's why I like him so much as a wrestler.
I certainly haven't come close to watching all of Brad's matches, but I have to admit that one of my favorite all time wrestling matches features Brad, and it's his match at Thunders Arena against Tak. The main reason this one is a favorite is because Brad delivers one of the best over the knee backbreakers I have seen. The whole sequence lasts almost two minutes and begins with Brad flat on his back on the mat. It's a testament to his strength and power that from a prone position he takes hold of Tak, scoops him into the air, brings him down across the knee for backbreakers, and ultimately ends with a bodyslam. It's hard to describe in words, but you can check the match out at Thunders Arena. If you do, you'll be treated to awesome scenes like this:
Fucking killer! Hey Brad, sorry for taking so long to do a feature on you in my blog! You're a certified muscleboy of wrestling!

Wrestlers of Christmas Past
Thunders Arena is the place to go if you are looking for that perfect gift for your fellow wrestling fan. Right now TA is promoting its Christmas Chaos series, which is a collection of holiday themed wrestling matches from the past several years. What better way to celebrate Christmas than to watch TA superstar Dominic in action? If I put together a top ten list of my favorite wrestlers, Dominic definitely would be on it. It's been a while since he has appeared in a new match, so it's nice to see some of his old contests. At top he gives Austin Cooper a friendly ride in the 2014 edition of Christmas Chaos. But it's in Christmas Chaos 2011 that the action really heats up when Dominic faces off against the smaller Octane. Dominic is at his best, and Octane gets a Christmas memory he'll never forget.
The muscleboy gives us an extra special double bi flex as he wishes all his fans a very happy holiday season. Thanks Dominic!

Random Racks
Sometimes I think about changing the title of my blog to "Bodyslam and Torture Rack Fan", but since the current name has such strong brand recognition, it's probably best not to mess with it. Still, that doesn't mean I can't post awesome pictures of torture racks (since it's my blog, I guess I can post whatever I want). I like shoulder racks for many of the same reasons I like bodyslams. It's a great lift and carry move that gives the alpha wrestler the opportunity to show who is in charge. And it's easier to pick up and carry around your victim in a rack than it is for a bodyslam. But from a jobber's perspective it can be different. A bodyslam can be kind of fun at first because you get picked up and carried around before the pain of the slam, but with a torture rack, the punishment comes immediately with being carried around. And if you want to be a super alpha wrestler, you can make the jobber suffer for as long as you want with a rack. Several of the pics above come from Thunders Arena because the wrestlers there do a great job with torture racks. But the move has universal appeal among all wrestlers, so you can see it pretty much anywhere. It's just an awesome move.

Dominic vs Viggo
Can you believe that it's been almost two years since I last featured Dominic in a post? He may be my favorite wrestler from Thunders Arena. He's a strong, powerful dude at 5' 9" and 205 pounds. His muscles are not just for show. Dominic puts them to good use when he steps onto the wrestling mat. Here he is in a match earlier this year facing off against Viggo. Both wrestlers are phenomenally conditioned, but the taller Viggo gives up a 25 pound advantage to Dominic. The difference is all muscle, and with that extra muscle, Dominic does what he does best, which is dominate.

Meet the Press
What better way to kick off summer than to pay tribute to wrestling's most awe inspiring move . . . the overhead press! All for the glory of wrestling!

Cyber Monday
If you are looking for some Christmas gifts on Cyber Monday, be sure to check out Thunders Arena and a match featuring Dominic and a new guy named Rocco. Dominic has a fifty pound advantage over the rookie, so you can guess how the match turns out. It's another classic "big vs little" match from our friends at Thunders Arena. But if you want to see it, act fast. It's for sale today only.

More Dominic
It's been almost nine months since I last had a post about Dominic at Thunders Arena. I guess he's been busy with other things this year, but it seems he can't stay away from TA forever. He's back in a new match against Kid Titan. From the match description and the video preview, it looks like Dominic has his way with his muscled opponent. Luckily the match includes one of Dominic's dominating gorilla presses. And given that Kid Titan weighs 200 pounds, it's especially impressive to see Dominic lift someone that big.

Dominic's Back!
It's been a long time since I've featured Dominic of Thunders Arena in a post, so I was happy to see him wrestling in a new match at TA. I like how Dominic plays nice at the beginning by letting Mogly admire his biceps before Dominic goes on to humiliate the other wrestler. But looking at that big grin on Mogly's face in the last picture, I don't think humiliation is the emotion he's experiencing at the moment.

Primal Wrestling
The Dominator is at it again in a new match at Thunders Arena against Angel. From the promo this appears to be a good back and forth match because Angel is a scrapper who always handles himself pretty well on the mat in spite of his inevitable size disadvantage. But as we all know, Dominic loves to press other dudes overhead, and Angel (whether he likes it or not) frequently finds himself hefted up in the air by his bigger opponents. So it's no surprise to see Dominic send Angel flying. One thing I love about Dominic is the look of intensity when he gorilla presses his opponents. It's like he's tapping into some primordial power deep inside him which gives him superhuman strength. Wrestling is a primal sport, and all good wrestlers know how to tap into that beastly power deep within during the heat of competition, when that survival instinct matters most. Wrestling is survival of the fittest like no other sport.

Torture Rack
Although the bodyslam is my favorite pro-style wrestling move, the torture rack scores pretty high on my list, too. If I had the time, I probably could do a seperate blog about it. But until then, the torture rack can make a special guest appearance here. The appeal of the torture rack in wrestling is like the bodyslam because it's one muscle dude dominating another dude by picking him up. There's just something about taking a hold of another guy and lifting him bodily off the ground. The two bodies are completely supported by the strength and power of the one. I get a rush by bending a dude's body over my shoulders, hearing him grunt and groan as he endures the unendurable. And I have to admit that being in a torture rack is almost as fun. If you've never experienced one, be sure to put it on your list of things to do.

How much is too much?
Thunders Arena has another match featuring Dominic, and this time he's wrestling a new dude named Kasper. Whenever Dominic wrestles, you can expect bicep flexes and gorilla presses, both of which are incredible displays of masculine awesomeness. Kasper doesn't seem to mind being pressed overhead, especially in the second photo. We've seen this before when Dominic has hoisted other dudes up like this, like Tak and Sirus, who were unable to contain their excitement at being manhandled by such a muscle stud. So, another Dominic wrestling match, and another dude pressed over his head. Is this getting to be too much of a good thing? At some point the answer to that question may be yes, but at least for me, that point is still pretty far off in the future.
