The Final Act

So here is my third and final post about Hollywood Fight Club 3 from Can-Am Wrestling.  There are several wrestlers featured in this video, but really it's three of them who make this one worth while.  First and foremost, there's Rio Garza, who is in a class of his own.  The second wrestler is Michael Vineland, a big, muscled-up dude who dwarfs the rest of the competition with his size and masculinity.  And finally, the third star is Aryx Quinn (aka Tristan Baldwin).  Rio and Vineland don't wrestle in this video, which is a shame, but previously we got a glimpse of Rio and Tristan wrestling.  And now I feature the contest between Vineland and Tristan, which is the climax of Hollywood Fight Club 3.  This match is for all the marbles.

Every wrestler in Fight Club brings a big wad of cash with him.  And the contest rules bascially say if you are defeated enough times, you're out.  The last man standing victorious after all the matches is the winner, and he collects all the money.  It's Michael Vineland and Aryx Quinn in the final battle, and it looks like Vineland is well on his way to take home the prize (by the way, the big guy already won Fight Club 2).  Much of their match showcases Vineland beating up on Aryx with big muscle moves like bodyslams and backbreakers (which is why I enjoyed watching it so much).  But we know that Aryx is an experienced pro, so we can't count him out too soon.  He eventually turns the tables, but in the end, I think Aryx learns that you can both win and lose at the same time.

I don't know what else to say, but "Ouch!"

Hollywood Fight Club

About ten years ago Can-Am Productions released a series of wrestling videos called Hollywood Fight Club.  Each one features several guys who gather to fight each other, with the ultimate winner claiming a big cash prize.  It's a good set-up for a wrestling themed video, and I'm surprised we have not seen more of this from other wrestling productions.

Earlier this year I blogged about Rio Garza's appearance in Hollywood Fight Club 3.  In addition to Rio, there are seven other wrestlers who compete in this two hour production.  Fan favorite Rio definitely is one of the stars, as is well known wrestler Aryx Quinn (aka Tristan Baldwin).  But in the literal sense, the biggest star is Michael Vineland.  His hulking, muscular body pretty much dwarfs everyone else who shows up at the fight club.  Michael is strong and powerful, and he eagerly uses his strength to toss his competition around the mat.  If you are a fan of bodyslams (and you know that I am, of course), there's plenty to like with muscleman Michael performing multiple slams along with other awesome power moves.  The big guy really delivers in this video.  The one regret is that he and Rio did not square off.  But all in all, Hollywood Fight Club 3 is not a bad way to spend a couple of hours.

One word . . . Awesome!

New Year, New Computer

It's been a long time since my last post.  Sadly, my computer crashed back at the beginning of summer, and I lost a lot of material.  When I finally got a new computer a few months ago, the motivation to begin blogging again just wasn't there.  And of course I didn't have much material to work with anyway.  But lately after perusing the internet and checking out more matches and other things, I realize there are still tons of muscleboys out there delivering awesome bodyslams.  These studs of wrestling have inspired me to renew blogging, so my resolution for the year 2020 is to get back at it.  I've already got several ideas to blog about, so please keep checking in for new posts.

Happy New Year guys!
