Bodyslamming Beefcakes - Braden Charron
Braden Charron is one of my favorite beefcake wrestlers (quite possibly the favorite). The dude has been wrestling for our entertainment over twelve years now, and he's showing no signs of slowing down. Sure, he has aged a little bit over the years, but he remains in prime physical condition with that amazing bodybuilder's physique of his. As long as Braden has the muscles, he'll keep wrestling. These pics come from a match of his at Wrestler4Hire against Ty Alexander where the beefcake shows us what he and his big biceps can do.
And speaking of Wrestler4Hire, Cameron Matthews just announced the start of a new related website called Hero Hunks. It features many of the W4H wrestlers we have come to know and love, but in matches with superhero themes. And of course, this includes Braden Charron -- as if he needs a superhero outfit to look like a superhero. I can't wait to see what Hero Hunks has in store for us.

Braden for Hire
Some time ago I mentioned that Cameron Mathews was putting together a website to market pro-style wrestling matches that he's producing. The website has developed and matured over time so that today we have a pretty cool product called Wrestler4Hire. Recently I decided to check it out, hoping to see it feature some exciting and new talent. So what did I find? Braden Charron. Is he new talent? Not really. Braden has a long history in wrestling, appearing for BG East, Thunders Arena, Can-Am, and Muscle Domination Wrestling (and probably others). So am I disappointed to find W4H featuring a seasoned veteran like Braden? Absolutely not! I LOVE BRADEN!!!! He's big muscles and bodyslams. What's not to love? I checked out a match of his against Jayden Mayne, and Braden doesn't disappoint. I don't know how many years Braden has been wrestling on the internet. Maybe ten? He looks like he's got at least ten more in him.
A big thanks to Cameron for giving Braden yet another venue to showcase his awesome muscles and wrestling skills.

Braden's Encore
After my last post the fans begged for more of Braden, and who am I to say no? So here you go with a bonus collection of photos from the ripped wrestler's domination match against Bart Barron. Braden starts off by flexing those big biceps of his, and then he shows us what biceps are good for by punishing his lesser opponent. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here are five thousand words for you. Enjoy!

Braden the Beast
Let's revisit our Wrestler of the Year Braden Charron. My last post that featured him was all about how the new guy Braden got owned by the experienced heel. But Braden doesn't always play the role of a jobber. In an early match of his back in 2007 at BG East Braden faces off against a dude named Bart Barron. We've all probably seen pictures of a big, beefy Braden, but in this match, he's leaned down considerably and is ripped. Clearly he's in bodybuilding competition mode when this match filmed, which probably had an effect on his ring persona. To prepare for a competition, bodybuilders enter a cutting phase where they greatly control their diet to drop body fat. This is similar to what wrestlers do when they cut weight during wrestling season. Cutting back on food and drink and calories to drop weight does several things to a wrestler. You can end up weak and without energy, which is not good when it's time to wrestle. But often times the hunger makes you angry, mean, and almost animalistic. You tap into the beast inside you to give you the strength and stamina needed to train and compete. It looks like this is what happens to Braden in this match. He's lean. He's hungry. He's a beast. Braden can barely control himself as he tears into his soft opponent. If not for an advantage Bart gained by a cheap shot at one point in the match, it would have been a total squash job. But ultimately Bart's cheap shop just angers Braden more, and the muscle stud makes the jobber pay for it in the end. In doing so, Braden shows why bodybuilders can make such awesome wrestlers.

More Jed
After my last post I could hear the chants of "Jed! Jed! Jed!" coming from all the blog fans who want to see more of the musclestud Jed Jamison. Luckily I have come across some other good action pics from his days at BG East. Above we get another good view of Jamison bodyslamming Brad Rochelle in his debut match, and then in his next match he sets up Braden Charron for a powerslam. Jed gets all alpha by gorilla pressing Shayn Layn, and then he later demolishes the muscled jobber boy Alexi Adamov with a nicely executed scoopslam. It looks like Jed Jamison only appeared in five matches for BG East. Too bad the dude didn't make a bigger career out of underground wrestling, but at least his short time in the ring gave us plenty of things to enjoy. His matches are still available at BG East if you want to check them out.

Braden: The Beginning
I had to do some research on this to find Braden Charron's first wrestling match. The best I can figure is that he first appeared in a match at BG East in 2005 against bad boy Brad Rochelle. Over ten years ago! I had no idea that Braden has been starring in wrestling videos for such a long time. In the first picture we see a fresh faced newbie, confident in his body, proudly flexing. Ten years later Braden still possesses an impressive physique. But he's just a kid in his first match against a very experienced Brad Rochelle. Bodyslams and pile drivers. It's a tough introduction to the world of wrestling, but fortunately for us, Braden has proven to be a tough dude, and he didn't let a little set back at the beginning keep him from stepping back into the ring.

WOTY: Braden Charron
The ballots have been counted and in a surprise victory, Braden Charron has been named wrestler of the year! The voters on the selection committee explain that this award isn't necessarily for any particular thing Braden did over the past year, but instead is a recognition of his many years of quality wrestling action. Of course, it didn't hurt that Braden's submission included a pic of him in a red, white, and blue singlet. Pandering to a voter's patriotism is a smart move (we are in an election year after all). But the committee was swayed by his stellar performance in a 2 on 1 match in Can Am's East Coast Mat Battles. Braden's opponents Cameron Matthews and Chris Richards find out the hard way that it takes more than just two skinny dudes to take down a muscle stud like Braden. I don't think this is what they had in mind by double teaming:
Stayed tuned in the coming weeks and hopefully we'll get to see more of Braden in action.

Mat Battle
A few years ago Can-Am Wrestling released a collection of matches called East Coast Mat Battle, and one contest has Braden Charron wrestling Cameron Matthews. Braden is one of my favorite wrestlers out there because he has big muscles and knows how to use them. How much punishment can young Cameron's back take as this Grade A side of beef delivers a series of bodyslams, backbreakers, and bearhugs? Braden even effortlessly presses Cameron up overhead, leaving no doubt who the true alpha wrestler is. Check out those biceps!

The Reluctant Jobber
Not long ago I posted some photos that wrestler Darius had sent me from matches he produced himself. But in addition to his own matches, Darius also appears in some well know internet productions, including Muscle Domination Wrestling. In one match at MDW he faces Brad Barnes in a video called Meaty Muscle Massacre. From the pictures at least, it looks like Darius is the meaty muscle being massacred. In another video he faces Braden Charron in a match called Power Move Punishment, where Braden executes some of his best power moves to punish Darius. I'm not sure of Darius' stats, but he looks like a pretty solid dude. Definitely not someone who looks like a jobber in the wrestling ring. So I'm a little surprised by these matches, but I can't be critical about it. I have to confess, as much as I like to think of myself as an alpha male when it comes to wrestling, I wouldn't mind jobbing for either Brad Barnes or Braden Charron.

Pro vs. Joe
Many of you guys probably have checked out Cameron Mathews blog and website. Since last fall he has been producing his own wrestling matches and putting them up for sale. He's got some pretty good talent in his stable of wrestlers, a bunch of dudes who have appeared at big time productions like Thunders Arena and BG East. But in addition to these matches featuring the big names in the world of internet wrestling, Cameron also has something called Pro vs. Joe private matches. This is where you (yeah, YOU!) can step into the ring and challenge a wrestling star in a one on one match. I have to admit that this captures my attention. Can you imagine stepping into the ring with someone like Braden Charron? While I usually like being the alpha male in a fantasy wrestling match, I gotta admit that more and more lately I like the idea of getting owned on the mat by the right guy. And there aren't many better alpha studs out there in my book than Braden Charron. Here are some good shots of Braden owning other dudes in the way I want to be owned by him. These aren't pro versus Joe matches, but feature him against experienced dudes, including Cal Bennett (the first two pics), Jayden Mayne, and Ty Alexander. Just imagine what Braden can do with an average Joe. If anyone has an experience with these Pro vs. Joe matches, please share.
