Scotty Mac Attack

Here are some more pictures of Canadian muscle wrestler Scotty Mac in action.  This dude just gets better and stronger as time goes on.  If you ever step into the ring with him, looks like you're gonna find yourself upside down at some point.

How much is too much?

Thunders Arena has another match featuring Dominic, and this time he's wrestling a new dude named Kasper.  Whenever Dominic wrestles, you can expect bicep flexes and gorilla presses, both of which are incredible displays of masculine awesomeness.  Kasper doesn't seem to mind being pressed overhead, especially in the second photo.  We've seen this before when Dominic has hoisted other dudes up like this, like Tak and Sirus, who were unable to contain their excitement at being manhandled by such a muscle stud.  So, another Dominic wrestling match, and another dude pressed over his head.  Is this getting to be too much of a good thing?  At some point the answer to that question may be yes, but at least for me, that point is still pretty far off in the future.

A Goliath Named David

Over the past few years, as I've gotten into the underground and internet wrestling scene, No Rules Wrestling hasn't captured my interest to the same level as Thunders Arena or Rock Hard Wrestling. But NRW gets my attention whenever they feature David Calbrese in a match. A recent release has him wrestling Drake, and NRW was kind enough to post several good quality photos on its webpage for all to see. Of course, Calbrese's awesome OTK backbreaker is the highlight. As I skimmed over other recent matches at NRW, it looks like they are featuring more and more wrestlers and action that appeal to me. One wrestler in particular appears alternately as Krush and The Widowmaker (I'm pretty sure it's the same guy). I'm hoping there's much more of this dude in NRW's future.

Karl the Muscle Boy

This is Karl Kasper (real name Viorel Marasoiu), a Romanian bodybuilder who now lives in Las Vegas. Check out his muscle website and help support his bodybuilding career. There are several things here that confer "Muscle Boy" status on Karl. Obviously, he's got those tree trunk like legs, which are invaluable come wrestling time. That Karl can scoop up a big dude and dominate him with an otk backbreaker also show he's a Muscle Boy. The snarl on his face reflects Muscle Boy attitude. But even if there were any doubt at this point, the final proof that Karl is a Muscle Boy is the double biceps pose over the body of his broken opponent. Only Muscle Boys are licensed to do the double biceps pose. If you are not a Muscle Boy, please do not attempt this at home.

Dream Team 2.0

The departure of Marcus Anthony from Ohio Valley Wrestling led to the demise of his Dream Team pairing with Jessie Godderz. Now that Godderz is tag team partners with Rob Terry, a bigger and better Dream Team is in the ring for all of us to enjoy. Of course, the wrestling competition at OVW probably doesn't like it much. I suspect every wrestler feels his bowels turn to ice when he has to step into the ring to face these studs. And it doesn't get much better for them once the action starts. The expression on the dude's face in the fourth picture is great. He looks like he'd rather be dead than to be paraded around with Rob Terry's arm in his crotch for all to see. I guess he just doesn't know how to appreeciate the finer things in wrestling. By the way, I think that's OVW heavyweight champion Johnny Spade being owned by Godderz and Rob Terry. That's one tough wrestling federation.

Iceberg Jessie

Just yesterday I asked if Joe Coleman's run of dominance was going to last. I think all of us knew the answer to that question would be "no". Poor Joe. He's cruising along, feeling confident, maybe even invincible. And then he runs into an iceberg named Jessie Godderz. In that first picture, you gotta feel sorry for him. From the look on his face, as Godderz reaches in between his legs to take a hold, Joe's thinking, "Fuck! I really don't want to go through this again." So much pride. So much arrogance. But all it gets you is gorilla pressed overhead by a bigger dude.

Titanic Joe

Not long ago I posted about Joe Coleman of Ohio Valley Wrestling and how the departure of Marcus Anthony works to his benefit. You can be a big muscle stud like Coleman, but it's hard to be the alpha male when there are bigger muscle studs around. Now that he doesn't have to be Anthony's plaything anymore, Joe Coleman has been able to show off his own talent. In the second picture, Coleman is delivering a good looking bodyslam to Mike Mondo (I think), which is no small feat. Then in the last picture, we see Coleman looking especially studly as he hoists OVW resident jobber Dylan Bostic up high with a nice crotchlift. Joe looks like he's king of the world here. Will it last, or is there an iceberg in his path?

Austin's Power

The bodyslam is my favorite pro-style move, but it should be no secret from my many posts that I can't pass up a good gorilla press. And that's just what Rock Hard Wrestling gives us in a recent match featuring Austin Cooper and Eli Black. It's the Austin Coopers of the wrestling world that I identify most with, with the muscles and power and all that. It's seeing him here with Eli Black in a gorilla press that makes this particular action sequence so awesome. But Eli Black adds a lot to this scene, too. This little dude is a scrappy fighter when it comes to wrestling. His character in the ring or on the mat tends to be overly cocky and mouthy, probably in an attempt to compensate for his size disadvantage against studs like Austin Cooper. What's great in the pics above, though, is that, at least for these few moments, you see none of that attitude in Eli Black. He's completely humbled. Of course, it's not so hard to see why. Just put yourself in Black's position. It's more than just the fact that muscleboy Austin has you pressed over his head. He does so by getting his hand solidly in your crotch to hold you up. For most guys, that's a pretty humiliating hold. And there's more. To keep yourself stable, you grab onto whatever you can with your hands, and what do you grab? You get a hold of Cooper's huge biceps which are almost as big as your thighs. You're humbled just by feeling his huge muscles. It's pretty hard to show a lot of bravado when you find yourself being manhandled in such a fashion.

(Note: If Eli Black is your type of wrestler, then be sure to check out Joe at Ringside who does a great job of featuring the little guy.)

A Budding Bromance

Last week I got an email from Thunders Arena advertising a new match between Dominic and Tak. I didn't even have to see the match or promo video to know that Dominic would be hoisting Tak's body over his head. I like these pictures because they highlight Dominic's massive biceps. Clearly he knows how to put them to good use because he loves to gorilla press other wrestlers, like Sirus, Batar, and Python. Tak is no stranger to the gorilla press. We have even seen how much he enjoys being pressed overhead by a muscle boy. I bet that Tak has long been jonesing for a match against Dominic, and judging from the grin on his face in the second picture, he was not at all disappointed at being manhandled in such a manner. So, in Dominic, we have a muscle boy who loves to press other dudes overhead. And in Tak, we have a dude who loves to be pressed overhead by muscle boys. These two wrestlers were made for each other.

Big Rob

Although I was sad to see Marcus Anthony leave Ohio Valley Wrestling, I gotta admit I'm getting over it pretty quick, thanks to Welsh beast Rob Terry. This is one amazing guy. Although I'm sure he can easily press another dude overhead, so far I've mostly seen pictures of him scooping up other wrestlers for bodyslams. While I love the gorilla press, the more simple crotchlift and resulting scoopslam is my favorite wrestling move. Especially when it ends with one dude's back crashing down on the knee of his tormenter, like Rob Terry does here with Andrew Patton. I don't know what Patton's stats are, but he's probably just a little more than half the size of Terry, who weighs in at over 310 pounds. You get a sense of the extreme size difference by how Patton's feet don't even touch the ground as he gets stretched over Rob Terry's knee. The looks on both wrestler's faces is priceless in the last photo. Like I've mentioned before, it's great to be the heel, and it's tough to be the jobber boy.
