Random Slamness
Here's another random collection of bodyslam action, but it's not entirely random. Think of it as a tribute to all those indy wrestlers who may never make it to the ranks of WWE but continue go out there and put their bodies at risk in order to entertain the rest of us. The first two photos feature Jeff Cobb and Tonga, guys who wrestle out in California. I don't know the wrestlers in the third and fourth photos. The fifth dude, of course, is Scotty Mac, who keeps going strong after all these years, and the final dude is muscle man Mike Petersen from Australia.

Gun Show
I like Scotty Mac, the Canadian wrestler. He's been wrestling for at least twelve years and shows no signs of slowing down. Here are some recent and old photos of his slamming the shit out of other dudes. He's well into his thirties now and is still going strong. And I mean literally strong. Check out those biceps in the first photo. Nothing wrong with showing those off. Even though he's no longer a boy, those arms earn him Muscle Boy status.

Thanksgiving
Today Thanksgiving is celebrated in Canada. Probably few of us in the U.S. realize that in addition to turkey, Canadians traditionally feast on pro wrestling this day. So here's a Thanksgiving tribute to the wrestlers of Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling. The banquet starts off with Jamie Diaz slamming Matt Xstatic, followed by the next course where Pete Powers sends Alex Plexis flying. Scotty Mac provides the main course with a big serving of bodyslam on Andy Bird. And finally, the meal ends with dessert as Sid Sylum tosses Gurv Sihra around. Happy Thanksgiving to our fellow wrestlers and wrestling fans north of the border.

Rack 'em Up, Boys
Here are a few more of my favorite torture rack action photos. What I like about these are the expressions of the dudes who are being racked, which range from outright anguish to near comatose. And the cockiness of Braden Charron and Scotty Mac add a really nice touch to an already awesome scene. You can't be afraid to bring the pain to your opponent or even to enjoy it. Next time it could be you.

Scotty Mac Attack
Here are some more pictures of Canadian muscle wrestler Scotty Mac in action. This dude just gets better and stronger as time goes on. If you ever step into the ring with him, looks like you're gonna find yourself upside down at some point.

Undergear

It's Friday, and the weekend is here. If you can't find some way of having fun over the weekend in your underwear, you just aren't trying hard enough. One of the great things about wrestling is how few accessories you need to do it. Forget the expensive equipment and fancy uniforms. Just put on your favorite pair of designer underwear, Under Armor, or Nike Pro shorts and have at it. Trust me, my friend, you haven't really experienced the best of wrestling if you haven't rolled with another dude wearing nothing but your Fruit of the Loom boxer briefs.

Wrestling Schizophrenia

A funny thing about pro wrestlers is how they change their names and personas during various stages of their careers. I'll just take Alex Koslov as an example. His real name is Alex Sherman, born either in Los Angeles or Moldova (Internet says both). In addition to Alex Koslov, he's been known as Aleksandr Vladimirovich, Alex Pinchek, Carlos Sanchez (!), and currently Peter Orlov with Florida Championship Wrestling. I wonder if he even gets confused about who he is sometimes. The bodyslam pictures above come from Cyber Fights, where he wrestled under the name Alex Pinchek. I would love to find photos of all his different personalities doing a bodyslam.

Fade

Fade is a wrestler featured in several CyberFights matches. At six feet, he's perhaps of average height among a stable of tall wrestlers like Kurt Sterling and Robert Anthony. But on that six foot frame he packs on 220 pounds of muscle. This allows him to easily scoop up and slam many opponents. Fade's bodyslamming technique is notable. He gets his arm in square and deep through his opponent's crotch (the third photo shows this well). His muscles let him hoist his opponents up pretty high. And I like how he places his hand on his opponent's butt. There's really no better way to get to know your opponent in wrestling than the slide your arm through his crotch and squeeze his butt. When you hold him up off the ground like this, he's really in no position to complain about it.

Positive Attitude

Someone just told me that my comments recently have been kind of "snarky." And I don't think he meant that in a good way. So, if that's the case, I apologize. There's really so much about a bodyslam that is great, so I should focus on the positive. And there's not much better about a bodyslam than seeing a stud like British Columbia wrestler Scotty Mac scoop up another dude and slam his ass hard down onto the mat. Scotty Mac has been wrestling for almost eleven years, so I guess that must make him close to 30 years old, if not older. He looks pretty amazing for someone who has been around the wrestling ring that long. He's one of my inspirations to keep working out. Keep up the good work, Scotty! I hope to see many more years of you bodyslamming the shit out of hapless wrestlers.

Fear Factor

I get a laugh sometimes when I see pics of bodyslams, and the guy being carried around has a look of abject terror on his face, or at least one of extreme discomfort. I mean, the guy in the third picture looks like he's auditioning for a hemorrhoid commercial. C'mon guys, why the fear? Think of when you were a little kid and being taken for an airplane spin by a bigger brother or someone. If someone like Scotty Mac were carrying me around like this, I'd sure have a smile on my face. This is the highlight of the bodyslam because things aren't going to get any better when the slam comes. Only the dude in the last picture has the right attitude. Enjoy the ride while you can, my friend. Enjoy the ride. (Note: Top photo from Cyberfights, second and fifth from BGEast, and the fourth from Thunders Arena. All sites have great wrestling action. Anyone know where the third photo comes from?)

Own That Dude

There are many things I like about the bodyslam, but one of the best parts for me is the very beginning when I reach in between my opponent's legs to grab him. There's just something about sliding my arm in through his crotch to secure a deep and tight hold. If he's got a muscular butt, I make sure to grasp it. Just before I begin lifting him up there's that moment where I like to clench my hold of his body and pull him tightly into my chest. Usually I pause a second so he can feel my arm in his crotch and my hand squeezing his butt. I know I'm gripping him just right if he lets out a little gasp. It's that moment when I say to myself I own this dude.
