Jessie and Marcus
A long time ago, Jessie Godderz and Marcus Anthony were the original Dream Team at Ohio Valley Wrestling. Well, we all know that the team didn't last, and Marcus Anthony went away for a while, and now upon his return to OVW, Marcus has paired up with Rob Terry to form a new Dream Team. Yet it was inevitable that Marcus and Jessie should face each other in a wrestling match at OVW, which they did recently in a tag team event. It doesn't look like a happy reunion, and Marcus Anthony in particular is taking things pretty hard as Jessie Godderz scoops him up for a bodyslam. But don't spend much time worrying about Marcus Anthony. He gets his mojo back later in the match by bodyslamming Jessie's tag team partner Rudy Switchblade. And sometime soon maybe we'll get to see Marcus doing the same to Jessie.

Dream Team 3.0
Sorry dudes! I don't know why I haven't posted anything recently. I guess the start of football season has been a distraction. Anyway, a while back I let it be known how excited I was to see Marcus Anthony back at Ohio Valley Wrestling. With his reappearance at OVW, one thing I was hoping for was to see him face off against Rob Terry. Such a match would be the ultimate Clash of Titans. Well, it doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon. As you can see above, Marcus Anthony and Rob Terry are now pairing up for tag team action at OVW. Not that I mind, of course. A while back I was happy to announce the "Dream Team" of Marcus Anthony and Jessie Godderz. That didn't last because Marcus Anthony left for Florida Championship Wrestling, but in it's place appeared an improved Dream Team of Jessie Godderz and Rob Terry. That also didn't last, and the partnership between Jessie and Rob seems to have soured in recent months. I have to say that I like this newest version of the Dream Team the best. With all the muscle that Marcus Anthony and Rob Terry possess, they are going to leave a trail of broken bones, collapsed organs, and internal bleeding in their wake. It's great to be kings of muscle.

Making a Come Back
During his first run with Ohio Valley Wrestling, Marcus Anthony was the king of the gorilla press. When he recently returned to OVW after a year's hiatus, he was pretty good at dishing out bodyslams, but we didn't see him pressing other wrestlers overhead like he had done in the past. Of course that was fine with me. I love seeing a muscle dude scooping up and slamming the shit out of lesser opponents, but also it's hard to not get excited about a good gorilla press. In a recent match, Marcus Anthony gets back into the groove of things by pressing up another dude as he continues to reintegrate himself into life at OVW. All we need now is for Marcus to grow out his faux hawk, and it will be like he never left.

Happy Dude
When Marcus Anthony went to Florida Championship Wrestling, he fell off my radar screen for over a year, so I definitely was glad to see him return to Ohio Valley Wrestling. But how does Marcus feel about being back? I think the big smile on his face in these photos answers that question. After all, he's got huge muscles and can put them to work by scooping up and bodyslamming all the dudes that are at his disposal at OVW. Why wouldn't he be happy?

He's Back!
It's been a while since I have featured Marcus Anthony in a post. Over a year ago I noted his departure from Ohio Valley Wrestling to Florida Championship Wrestling. At the time I admitted that Marcus was one of my favorite wrestlers to feature in the blog. With the passage of time, I have to say that is still true. I'm not sure what happened when he went to FCW, but I'm excited to see that he's back wrestling at OVW. Unfortunately he's lost the faux hawk, but other than that he looks as big and bad as ever. Some of you may recall earlier postings of mine where I've stated that my preference is to be a heel when wrestling, but in some cases I'm willing to be a jobber. Marcus Anthony is a guy I would easily job for. The lean, muscled body of an amateur wrestler going up against the impressive stature that is the pro wrestler with a bodybuilder's physique . . . Marcus Anthony has muscles, and he knows how to use them. And that's to physically dominate other dudes. Imagine what it's like to have him take control of your body, to be hoisted up high in the air and paraded around, the feel of his muscled arm through your crotch as he prepares to slam you down to the mat . . . Welcome back to OVW, Marcus! Let's hope we see a lot more of your bodyslamming action.

The Marine
My track coach in middle school was an old Marine who had served in Vietnam. He had his quirks, and one was to call any of us a "hippie" if he thought our hair was getting too long (even though he had been out of the Marines for probably 25 years, he still kept his military haircut). "Time for a haircut, you hippie," he would say. And if he thought we weren't working hard enough he'd call us a "lazy hippie." One day one of my teammates asked him what his problem was with hippies, and this set coach off on a tirade. He began a rant about how hippies were lazy, smelly, un-American, communists, immoral, freeloving, pot smoking, cost us the war, doing all kinds of acts against God and creation, and on and on. We were all kind of stunned by the outburst, and no one dared ask him anything Vietnam related again. So, this is just a long introduction to this photo of Marcus Anthony gorilla pressing some long haired dude in front of a bunch of cheering Marines. I'd like to think of this as Marcus exacting some vengence on hippies in order to restore honor to our men in the milatary. This one's for you, coach!

Muscle On The Move

I think Marcus Anthony has to be one of my favorite wrestlers featured in this blog. The huge muscles. The intense, almost maniacal, facial expressions. The faux hawk. And most important, the complete and total domination of another dude by pressing him overhead. I really liked his pairing with Jesse Godderz as a tag team. But all good things must come to an end, and it looks like Marcus Anthony has moved from Ohio Valley Wrestling and on to Florida Championship Wrestling. This is a move up, so best of luck to him.

Dream Team

If you check out other wrestling blogs, you've probably seen by now pictures from a recent Ohio Valley Wrestling match which features the tag team of Marcus Anthony and Jessie Godderz. I think the amount of muscle in the wrestling ring with these two probably triggers some type of Surgeon General's warning. I find this double gorilla press to be just stupendous. I especially like the second picture where Marcus Anthony can barely contain his excitement at having finally found a suitable playmate in the form of Jessie Godderz who can appreciate the beauty and sophistication of pressing another wrestler over your head.

The Power of Wrestling

It's time to get in one last post for 2011. This picture shows a lot about why I love wrestling. It's the strength, the muscles, the intensity, the holds, the grabs, the lifts, the male body on body contact, and finally, the culmination when one muscle dude prevails by dominating another muscle dude. This is Marcus Anthony of Ohio Valley Wrestling pressing fellow stud wrestler Joe Coleman overhead. My other post about Marcus shows him pressing Coleman too. I don't know if the photos are from the same match or if Coleman just has to be Marcus' boy toy night after night in the ring (based on this video my guess is boy toy). I have to admit, I'm having a hard time deciding which dude I envy more here.
Party hardy boys! And have a Happy New Year!

Dylan Bostic

Recently I've highlighted the wrestling mega-studs of Ohio Valley Wrestling like Jason Wayne, Rocco Bellagio, and Marcus Anthony. But these guys wouldn't be the muscle heels we love to see without one key component -- the Jobber. That's where Dylan Bostic comes in. He's there to make these big guys look good. The funny thing is, at 5'11" and 190 pounds, he'd probably be the stud in most of life's situations. But when he steps into the ring to face a 240 pound, muscle bound pro wrestler, he just becomes a play thing for the Heel. Dylan can be seen in my last post as the first guy being gorilla pressed by Marcus Anthony. Above we see a few more shots of him as he anxiously contemplates the next few seconds when his back slams hard against the wrestling mat. The life of a jobber has got to be tough. Do you let your girlfriend know what you do? You certainly don't want your buddies to see you get humiliated like this. For his sake, I hope Dylan is just putting in time as a jobber and that bigger and better things await him in his professional wrestling career.
HEY GUYS!! Tell me what you think. You like my posts? Should I just shut up? Feel free to share your own thoughts by leaving comments. I love to hear what others have to say.

Marcus Anthony

And now for the most badass muscle beast of all from Ohio Valley Wrestling, Marcus Anthony. For some reason he's no longer listed on the OVW roster, so I'm not sure what his stats are, but clearly he's a monster when compared to his feeble competition. The bodybuilder's physique and intense gaze are fierce enough, but I think it's his fauxhawk that completes the package of a totally intimidating wrestling beast. Sometimes my imagination takes a hold with these posts, and here I see what looks like some sadistic fraternity hazing ritual gone to extremes. The brothers of Pi Kappa Slamma assemble a wrestling ring out behind the house and order all their fresh, young corn fed pledges into the ring one by one to wrestle this guy. The end result is a foregone conclusion as each pledge gets pressed overhead in humiliating fashion, his masculinity crushed and dignity stripped, all for the perverted entertainment of the "brothers." I think I'll pledge a different fraternity.
